In such a growing academy with so much going on we want to make sure you stay in contact with us and we can share all our news with you.
Brook Mead Academy uses electronic communications with parents and carers and we have found this to be much more reliable in getting information home quickly and easily. However, it is essential that you keep the academy up to date with your latest details, in particular a current mobile phone number so that you can receive text messages and an email address. If you don’t have an email address at home and would like help in setting one up we are more than happy to help. Just call the academy and ask to speak to Kay Kaur.
Often the best way for you to contact us is via email. Our generic email addresses all have the same format as follows :

If there is ever a need to close the school or to send students home early as the result of an emergency, we will contact you via SchoolComms. Parents are advised to be able to access these messages via text and that school is updated with any changes in contact details.

You will need to enter the email address and mobile number that we hold on our system for you, if these match with our system you will be able to press the ‘Send PIN’ button. You will then be sent a new PIN number by text message which will enable you to activate you account.
If your e-mail or mobile number is not recognised please contact the school office where we can check the information held on your child’s records.
We encourage all parents and carers to activate their schoolcoms and to download the school gateway app from the apple or android store.
